Take a step back in time at this museum, the home on the former James King farm, homesteaded in the 1880s. See the museum’s brand of American history through the exhibits of 19th and early 20th-century life on the Island, replete with photographs and stories from the pioneers and mix of people and cultures who changed the life of the Island over the years. The museum complex consists of the original farmhouse, the first county jail, a turn-of-the-century log cabin, barn, milk house, and carriage house. The Museum of History & Industry features exhibits on logging, limestone, farming, and fishing.
